13 DAY TOUR________________________________________
DAY 1 – INTO THE LAND OF THE BIBLE: Afternoon touchdown at Amman International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met and assisted by our agent through customs, then by private motorcoach to your hotel.
DAY 2 – AMMAN / JERASH: Visit the Citadel, Museum, view of Amman, proceed to Jerash, visit the Theater, The Amphitheater, and return to hotel.
DAY 3 – AMMAN / AKABA: On the way to visit Mt. Nebo then direct to Akaba, Diner and Overnight.
DAY 4 – AKABA / PETRA THE RED ROCK CITY: it is considered the eighth wonder of the world. A complete city carved in colored sandstone, rediscovered in 1812. An unforgettable experience on horseback through the narrow canyon, you will enter the Nabatean City of Petra to visit the Treasury, the Theatre, the Palace of Justice and other marvels.
DAY 5 – PETRA / ALLENBY BRIDGE / JERICHO / TIBERIAS: We will drive from Petra to Allenby Bridge and cross into the Holy Land, finish all necessary formalities continue to Jericho the cradle of all civilizations. Visit Tel El-Sultan, ruins of one of the oldest Cities in the World; view Mount of Temptation and proceed to Qumran to visit the site where the Scrolls of the Dead Sea were found. Time is provided for a float on the Dead Sea, proceed along the Jordan Valley to Beit She’an the exit of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee to Tiberias.
DAY 6 – GALILEE: Board a boat to Caphernaum, visit the ruins of the City Jesus started His Ministry and the site of the Synagogue where He was teaching; proceed to Tabgha the site of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish. Visit the 4th Century mosaics. Drive to the top of the Mount of Beatitude overlooking the sea and surrounding area. Drive to Cana to visit the site where the first miracle took place. Proceed to Nazareth to visit Mary’s Well and the Church of the Annunciation; drive through the plains of Jezreel to Jenin, Nablus. Visit Jacob’s Well; proceed to Jerusalem.
DAY 7 – THE MOUNTAINS OF JERUSALEM AND BETHLEHEM: Drive to Mt. of Olives with its outstanding view of the city; visit the chapel of the Ascension, church of Pater Noster, Garden of Gethsemane; Church of All Nations; view the Kidron Valley. Mt. Zion: the site where Jesus accomplished His Ministry, visit the room of the Last Supper, visit the Tomb of King David, proceed to Bethlehem for a visit to the Church of Nativity, visit the Shepherd’s Fields and the Fields of Boaz and Ruth’ proceed to the Knesset or House of the Parliament. Visit Shrine of the Book enclosing the Scrolls of the Dead Sea; the National Museum, proceed to the Model of the Second Temple at the Holy Land Hotel.
DAY 8 – JERUSALEM / THE OLD CITY: By the foot towards the city walls built by Solomon the magnificent enclosing the most Holy Sites. Walk into the city through Damascus Gate and through the picturesque colorful bazaars to the superb Temple area, where Solomon’s Temple was built on Mt. Moriah. Visit the Dome of the Rock enclosing the Rock of Sacrifice. The Mosque of El-Aksa, further south: the Pinnacle of the Temple and the Western Wall or Wailing Wall. The Afternoon starts at St. Stephen’s Gate and into the Old City to visit the Church of St. Anne, the Pool of Bethesda, and the Lithostrotos. Pilate’s Judgment Hall, and walk on the Via Dolorosa leading us to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Walk through the Bazaars to David’s Tower.
DAY 9 – JERUSALEM / CAIRO: This day we travel from Jerusalem to Qumran: visit the site where the Scrolls of the Dead Sea were found, then to Massada where the Zealots held the last foothold before they sacrificed their lives for their liberties. Drive through the Negev onto Eilat to Taba borders and cross into Egypt.
DAY 10 – CAIRO / GIZA: Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum to view many specimens of finest antiquities including precious collections from the Tomb of Tut-Ankh-Amon, then drive the city past Cairo University to Giza. Visit Cheops Pyramid and the Sphinix, Camels or horses will be provided to ride to the Pyramid plateau. Afternoon sightseeing drive along the Nile Corniche past Kasr el-Aini Hospital to “Old Cairo”. Then visit the Coptic Churches of Abu Sarga associated with the flight of the Christ Child to Egypt; Ben Ezra Synagogue, Amr Mosque and the site at the Nile where Moses was found in the bulrushes. Drive via Republic Square past Abdin Palace to Sultan Hassan Mosque, the Citadel, Mohammed Aly Mosque for a panorama of Cairo, through the city of the Dead El-Azhar University to the native bazaars of Khan El-khalili where time is allowed for browsing and shopping.
DAY 11 – CAIRO / LUXOR: Transfer to the Airport for your Flight to Luxor Cross the Nile by motorlaunch to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Necropolis of Thebes, drive to the Valley of the Kings, visit the tombs of Tut-Ankh-Amon, Seti 1, Ramses 2nd. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshesput and return to the Hotel via the Colossi of Memnon. Drive by the horse-carriage to the Avenue of the Sphinxes at Karnak Temple. Visit the Temple of Khonsu and Mout, the Temple of Amon and its gorgeous Hypotyle Hall, the Obeliks of Queen Hatshepsut and the Sacred Lakes.
DAY 12 – LUXOR / CAIRO: Transfer to Cairo, Full day at Leisure.
DAY 13 – Transfer to Cairo International Airport for final departure.
